Minigames in open-world titles, by most accounts, can serve as bite-sized bits of variety in-between missions or while traveling across the map; good for some mild distraction, but usually not much more. But in the rare occasions, minigames like these can add a surprising amount to the believability and depth of a world beyond just its map size and scale. Given that I put in as much time into The Witcher 3 's Gwent as I did in most other games by themselves, there's certainly something to be said that when done well, open world minigames can add so much more to a believable game world in their own right. And inside the game's world drenched in the imagery and themes of the Wild West, Red Dead Redemption 2 Cheats Dead Redemption 's minigames were definitely some of the best examples of that extra level of detail and immersion.

If you've been looking forward to unlocking the Repeating Shotgun in hopes that it's something of an AA12, I'm sorry to disappoint. The Repeating Shotgun in Red Dead Redemption 2 is somewhat disappointing, particularly when compared to the pump-action and semi-auto. It does the same amount of damage as the pump-action, but it lacks its accuracy. Despite being a repeater, it also has a slower rate of fire than the semi-auto. Is it worth its $185 price? Absolutely not, sa

Holding L2 or LT, depending on your system, and clicking in the left joystick will prod Arthur into giving your horse a reassuring pat on the head/neck, which keeps your horse reasonable and gains a little bit more of your horse's tr

Not every horse in Red Dead Redemption 2 is the same. Rockstar has put an incredible amount of work into establishing variance in just about every aspect of the game, and they did not hold back when designing the nineteen different breeds of horses. Each horse has their own set of coats possible, and there are quite a few different "tiers" of horses available. There doesn't seem to be any horse breed that's necessarily best, but there are some that excel at certain specific things. Some horses have different temperaments as well, though I'm not entirely sure that's linked to the br

Remember when Horizon Zero Dawn and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild released in the same week last year? Despite Horizon being a phenomenal game-- some would say the best of last year -- Breath of the Wild still ended up dominating the conversation in the casual and broader gaming scene. I imagine that Red Dead Redemption 2 will end up being one of those conversation-dominating titles as well, which means it's likely better for Activision to just stay out of its way after release.

Black Ops 4 is scheduled to launch on October 12, 2018, which many folks might realize is a bit earlier than normal. If you've been paying attention over the past few years, or every year since 2006 to be specific, you've likely become accustomed to the annual Call of Duty game releasing in the first or second week of November. It's become standardized to expect Activision's blockbuster shooter to drop at some point during this span but that's all changed this year. Is it just pure happenstance? Maybe. But I think there's something a bit more to it. I believe that Activision is concerned about being caught in the shadow of Red Dead Redemption 2 .

As the saying goes, "there's plenty of fish in the sea." The same can more or less be said of Red Dead Redemption 2 : there are plenty of horses in the Old West. You've got a lot of different options when it comes to who you choose to be your traveling companion, and whatever horse you choose, they'll be sure to appreciate the gesture. The more you use the same horse, doing just about anything, the more your horse is going to trust you. And in the same vein, the more you use the same horse, the more you may grow to trust the ho
